This Week at a Glance... Monday, September 28, 2015

The Girls' Basketball team has had a great start to their season. They are a young team with only 2 seniors but have been doing well! They won both league games last week and played hard in a huge tournament in Belle River on the weekend. Apparently they held their own against some big teams. Their defense is their specialty!
This week they have a home game against NLSS (North Lambton) starting at 5:30 pm on Tuesday and they travel to LKCS on Thursday at 5:30 pm. Practice on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 3:30-5.

Boys' Volleyball went to Tilbury last weekend and start league games this Wednesday in Blenheim (4:30pm) and a tournament in Dresden at LKCS on Friday. Practice on Monday 5-6:30; Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30-5.

The Cross Country team has their first meet (Christian Schools) next Tuesday.  Details to follow.

Some cool local opportunities:
Windsor Women's Volleyball is playing against Western at The Healthplex this coming Wednesday (Sept 30th) at 7 pm.  Admission fee is $2's.

Windsor Men's Volleyball is playing Western at UCC on Thursday, Oct 8th at 7 pm.

Cross Country -- practice on Wednesday and Friday after school.

Boys' Volleyball -- Practice on Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30-5 pm; Wednesday 5-6:30 pm.  Tournament in Tilbury on Friday... see Coach Rich for details.

Girls' Basketball -- Our first home game on Tuesday at 5:30 (warm ups at 5 pm) against Tilbury.  Game in Sarnia at SFX on Thursday.  Practice on Wednesday 3:30-5pm.  Possible tournament in Belle River on Friday and Saturday see Mr Berlemont for details.

No team sports today due to Retreat.

This Week at a Glance... Thursday, September 17, 2015

We are jumping right into it and games start tonight already in Girls' Basketball.  The schedules are almost nailed down but some tweeking is still occurring daily.

What we know now...
Girls' basketball will play at ESPC tonight.  Game time is 5:30 and warm ups at 5 pm.  They practice tomorrow at 3:30 - 5 pm.

Boys' Volleyball practice tonight (Thursday) from 3:30-5pm and tomorrow from 3:30-5pm.

Cross Country team practices Friday at 3:30 pm.

No practices/games on Monday, September 21 due to the School Retreat.  However, boys' volleyball will practice on Tuesday (22nd) from 3:30-5pm and the Girls' Basketball team hosts their first home game at 5:30 pm on Tuesday against Tilbury.

Welcome back everyone!!

My name is Mrs. Sharon Smith and I coordinate the sports here at CCHS. I work part time at the school so am not always around, however, I quite regularly check my emails: sharonsmith@chathamchristian.ca  

We will be starting our Fall Sports up right away. It seems with Labour Day being later this year, everyone is chomping at the bit.  So here we go...

Girls' Basketball practice today (Wednesday) from 3:30-5 pm; Thursday 5-6:30 pm and Friday from 3:30-5 pm with Coach Ron Berlemont.

Boys' Volleyball practice (both junior and senior) today (Wednesday) from 5-6:30 pm and Thursday from 3:30-5 pm with Coaches Richard Koomans, Dale Lahey, and Ben Nydam.

Cross Country will meet up with Coach Patrick McNamara.

Golf -- any regular golfers that are interested, please see Mrs. Smith.
