This Week at a Glance... Monday, December 8, 2014

The Senior Girls' Volleyball team started their season out by hosting a tournament last Friday. There were 8 teams total and our Flames made it to the finals. They lost in the finals to John McGregor Secondary School. Through out the tournament it was great to see the girls playing well and having fun. This week they start league play on Wednesday Dec 10th. They will travel to LKCS (Dresden) with the games starting at 4:30 pm. Then on Friday they will travel to Sarnia St. Clair to play in a tournament. Practices this week are Monday 3:30-4:50; Tuesday 5-6:30; and Thursday 3:30-5 pm.

The Junior Girls' Volleyball Team also hosted a tournament last week. There were 5 teams at this tournament. It was really good to have this to help learn positioning, team work and skill development in a game setting. The girls played well together and supported each other.
Last Wednesday they started their League games where they won both games against LKCS (Dresden) and ESPC (Pain Court). They lost both games to NLSS (Forest) but the scores were 25-23 and 27-25. The team was very encouraged by these games and played well together.
This week they practice Monday 3:30-4:50; Tuesday and Wednesday 5-6:30; Thursday 3:30-5 pm.

 

 

The Boys' Basketball team had a difficult week in league play. After starting the season out with 2 wins, they struggled in the next 2 games losing to SFX (Sarnia) and to ESPC (Pain Court). This week they host Blenheim TONIGHT (note game change from Thursday) at 5:30 pm. Practice on Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:30-5. They have a bye on Tuesday.
