Mid week update... September 25, 2014

The Golfers played in some cool conditions this past Monday at The Links of Kent but they were not complaining. Daniel Grootenboer shot a 92, Jarrod Kloostra a 89, and Kaden VanHelden a 83. Kaden qualifies for SWOSSAA which will be held at the Blenheim Golf Course on Monday, Sept 29th. Congrats to all the guys for a good day and all the best on Monday, Kaden! Thanks to Coach Scott Saunders.

The Girls' Basketball team is doing well in their league. They had a buzzer beater on Tuesday against LKCS (Dresden). This is what Coach Berlemont wrote about it:

In a tough defensive battle with the LKCS Cardinals, the SGBB Flames trailed 16-12 going into the fourth quarter, Allowing only two points in the fourth quarter, the Senior Girls were tied 18-18 with three seconds remaining. The inbound pass found Amy Koomans who scored a baseline hook shot for the comeback 20-18 victory. Way to go girls!
