The Boys Soccer team competed well in a
tournament this past Friday in Tilbury. They allowed only one goal through three matches, and
that was on a penalty shot. In the first match, the Flames tied LKCS in a
scoreless draw, but then were edged by a late PK in a 1-0 loss to Huron Park SS
from Woodstock. They rebounded with a strong performance in their final match,
winning 1-0 over L'Essor from Tecumseh. Tournament MVP was keeper Mike Slade.
They now look toward competition this coming weekend in the Ontario
Christian High Schools Tournament in Oakville.
Practice Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30-5:00 pm. Christian High Schools Tournament Friday and
Saturday... see paperwork and money is due prior to Friday please.The Girls' Soccer team played in an exhibition game against the John McGregor girls last Thursday. They had a close match, losing near the end with the score of 3-2. This Friday and Saturday they will travel to Redeemer College to play in the OCSSAA tournament. Please see paperwork which is due prior to Friday along with money.
